Q: What is Brickworld?
A: Brickworld is an opportunity for LEGO lovers (mostly adults) to get together and share their creations and ideas with each other. Of course, what would any large gathering of LEGO creations be if there weren't an opportunity for the local kids to come and view the creations.
Q: When is Brickworld?
A: Brickworld is held the 3rd week in June each year. It starts on Thursday and runs through Sunday. Public days are Saturday and Sunday. Thursday, Friday and evenings are used to schedule activities for the registered participants and are not open to the public.
Q: Where is Brickworld?
A: Brickworld is held at the Westin Hotel in Wheeling, IL.
Q: Should I register?
A: If you only intend to come to the exhibit hall to see other people's creations then you should attend during the public hours. If you want to speak at length to exhibitors, exhibit your own creations, attend classes, attend presentations, be eligible for door prizes, and have other perks, then you should register.
Q: If I am under 18, can I still register?
A: Yes, you can register if you are under 18. Your parent/guardian will also have to register AND attend with you. LEGO bricks are generally a kid's toy and Brickworld is not a babysitting service. So, regardless of your maturity level, for liability reasons, those under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult.
Q: I paid my registration via PayPal. Why is it not showing as paid on the website?
A: We have to manually mark your registration as paid. We only do this once a week, so it may take a week or so for your registration to show as paid.
Q: What is your Refund Policy?
A: Full Refund if cancellation is received via email on or before April 1. Partial Refund if cancellation is received via email on or before May 16. No Refund if cancellation is after May 16. Send all cancellations via the Contact Us form.
Q: How do I volunteer to help??
A: To volunteer you need to be a registered attendee. You can volunteer when you register by checking the volunteer box. If you want to volunteer for something specific, let us know through the Contact Us form.
Q: How big are the tables and how many can I get?
A: All tables are rectangular banquet tables that are 30 inches by 6 feet. As a registered attendee, you can register for as many as 4 tables (select from 7 possible table configurations). Table space is a premium, so please plan to fill any table you request. We have had to turn away MOCs in the past because all the tables are full. Vendors may also request up to 5 tables at $100 per table. More information is available under the Affiliates/vendors tab of this site.
Q: Are there LEGO items for sale at the event?
A: Yes, there are vendors that sell various LEGO items and custom items compatible with LEGO.
Q: If I sign up as a vendor before the deadline, am I guaranteed table space?
A: Brickworld is thrilled to have the great vendors that are signing up. But, the focus of the event must remain the AFOLs and displays. So, in the situation where the event space becomes overfilled, the last signed up vendors would not be granted table space. Before taking this kind of drastic action, other alternatives would be pursued.
Q: As a vendor, what am I allowed to sell?
A: Brickworld is a LEGO centric event. It is a requirement that all vending items be LEGO pieces or accessories that would be used in conjunction with LEGO pieces.
