Collaborative Castle Display

We'd like to remind you to please fill out the "MOC info" on the Brickworld site once you've registered. (This is for all MOCs, not just Castle ones.) If you plan on including a Castle MOC in the collaborative display, make sure to select the "Classic Castle City" from the drop-down menu in your MOC registration information. The info can be edited, so you can update them if your building plans change.

David Gregory is returning as the Castle Coordinator, and Classic-Castle's own Ben Ellermann will be the Pirates Coordinator. We will have the collaborative Castle and Pirate layouts near each other with a sea/water area between them similar to what we had setup in 2011.

The basic theme that we're promoting in the Collaborative Castle area this year is TOWERS!  Your creation doesn't have to necessarily be a proper castle "tower."  Ideas for towers include:
• Volcanos
• Wizard towers
• Dragon nests
• Lighthouses
• Watchtowers
• Mountain top dwellings

If it's tall, it's welcome.  However, please remember that height is only the second priority with the tower MOC's.  The first priority is stability.  (Remember those 3 foot towers you made when you were little?  The ones that were just 1 brick thick and fell over when you looked at them wrong?  We know you have better skills now than you did back then.)

If we have a decent collection of towers, one of them falling could cause a chain reaction, and we definitely do not want the domino effect.  Please also be aware that not all MOC's in the collaborative area can have a good view from all sides.  There are only so many corners on the Brickworld tables.  If you want to bring visual attention to your MOC, I advise making it taller.  :)

Of course, the collaborative Castle display is not limited to any specific, planned creations. Any and all Castle themed creations are welcome. If anyone has ideas for something special you'd like to do in the Castle display or something that you'd like to see included, please let me know. I'm always up for new ideas.
