Brickworld 2010 is over!
Ben Ellermann will be the Pirates Coordinator. This year Pirates and Castle will have connected displays. The displays will be separated by a giant sea battle. We will work with David Gregory, the Castle Coordinator, to create this area of high seas destruction. Your help is needed. Blue baseplates, sea creatures, ships, rowboats, rafts, and wreckage will be important for this area.
Pirate mocs usually fall into the following categories: Ships, Islands, Forts, and Docks/Wharves. Ships and islands are usually stand-alone items. We encourage bringing both in a variety of sizes.
Ships
Sailing ships are crucial for pirate displays. We suggest bringing anything from the size of the Imperial Trading Posts’ small cutter to a large ship such as BrickBeard’s Bounty
Islands
Printed 16x16 or 32x32 island baseplates with buildings, palm trees, or animals are acceptable. Larger custom islands and coves are also great. Register your island mocs to make sure we have adequate space for them.
Forts
The LEGO Pirate fan community has not yet developed a modular Colonial Fort standard with options for walls, gates, towers, redoubts, trenches, abatisses, and Vauban plans. Our Pirate Roundtable brainstorming session will focus on the creation of a fort standard.
Docks/Wharves
Lego created a modular dock standard with their new 6242 Soldier’s Fort set. Bring your modular section to help create a giant wharf! Check out details on building in this standard on ForbiddenCove.com
Feel free to also bring Pirate and Imperial mocs that do not fall in these categories. We also encourage bringing additional palm trees, foliage, and tropical animals. If you have any questions, please send me an email.
