Driving Directions

From Downtown Chicago: Follow signs to Tollway I-94 West (north toward Milwaukee). When I-94 forks, continue north on Route 41. Exit at Lake Cook Road, turn left (west). Proceed to Milwaukee Avenue exit and turn left at light. The Westin Chicago North Shore entrance is at second light on left side.

From Chicago O'Hare International Airport: Follow signs to Tollway I-294 North to Milwaukee. Proceed north and exit on Lake Cook Road. Turn left (west) onto Lake Cook Road. Proceed to Milwaukee Avenue exit and turn left at light. The Westin Chicago North Shore entrance is at second light on left side.

From Midway Airport: When exiting the airport, take route 50 north to the junction of I-55. Take I-55 Southwest to Tollway I-294 about 12 miles. Take I-294 north to Milwaukee. Proceed north and exit on Lake Cook Road. Turn left (west) onto Lake Cook Road. Proceed to Milwaukee Avenue exit and turn left at light. The Westin Chicago North Shore entrance is at second light on left side.

From Wisconsin: Take I-94 South toward Chicago. Exit on Lake Cook Road and turn right (west) at light. Proceed to Milwaukee Avenue exit and turn left at light. The Westin Chicago North Shore entrance is at second light on left side.

From Midway by public transportation:

Take the orange line train from midway sky bridge to the Quincy and Wells stop. To get to Union Station for the metra line into the suburbs, it is approximately 4 to 5 blocks to the west, and one block south of this stop. You can take a cab, or walk 1 block south on Wells, (left) to Jackson, and go 5 blocks west (right). Union Station is in between Canal and Clinton (runs N, S), and Jackson and Adams (runs E, W). Take the Milwaukee District North Line to the Lake Cook Road train station. (4 miles from the hotel.) From here you can request a shuttle from the hotel to pick you upon availability, or you can take a cab to The Westin Chicago North Shore, The cost for the orange line will be two dollars and the cost for the metra line will be $4.30.

From O'Hare by public transportation:

Take the blue line to the Cumberland stop. You will then have to transfer to a PACE bus. #240 and #241 will both get you to the golf mill & jc penny stop. Then you will have to transfer to #271. Get off at the Milwaukee and Wolf Road stop. It is on the corner of the Westin Chicago North Shore.

There is also an O'Hare transfer bus that takes you from the airport the metra stop. It will take you to the Wheeling train station on the North Central Line. You can take a cab to The Westin Chicago North Shore, or request a hotel shuttle upon availability.
